Judge’s Critiques….
Alaskan Malamute Club of Estonia Speciality 2011 (Alaskan Malamute Baby) – Sharon Loades
“Very nice puppy, well balanced, good lay of shoulder, good proportions, nice rear angulation, good length of neck, head in proportion, would just prefer slightly bulkier muzzle, correct bite, very promising.”
Otley Open Show March 2012 (AV Working Puppy) – Sue Smith
“Malamute bitch of good proportions, feminine head, good eye and ear shape, nice depth to chest, well arched neck, nice topline, good fore and aft with nice tailset. Moved well, would have liked more bone.”
Accrington Open Show April 2012 (AVNSC Working Puppy) – Diane Smith.
“Young well-made bitch with lovely head and expression completely feminine. Has well-conditioned body covered by dense jacket. Moved positively in both directions. To be super critical I would prefer her a shade longer in leg nevertheless a promising puppy. B AVNSC W P and WPG2.”
Mansfield Open Show April 2012 (AVNSC Working Puppy) – Richard Kinsey
“Just made puppy by 4 days and is so well schooled and handled she is hard to ignore. Not the biggest but perfectly balanced in frame from head to tail. Clean strong teeth perfectly set in a strong jaw. Good length of neck to moderate shoulders and straight well boned front legs. Compact feet. Covers the ground with such an effortless stride and sense of purpose in each step. Best Puppy and PWG1.”
Pinxton Open Show May 2012 (AV Junior) – Barry Day
“Good for size and type, I liked her head and expression, good deed body, firm top line, good angulation and neat hocks. Presented in a good coat, she moved well.”
Edwinstowe Open Show May 2012 (AVNSC Working Junior) – Hillary Mitchell
“Bitch 13 months old, different type to what I am used to seeing. Good head and expression, correct bite, good overall shape and angulation, moved well.”
Driffield Championship Show September 2012 (Alaskan Malamute Junior Bitch) – Bridgette Bodle
“Smaller than the winner but balanced an proportionate, attractive head but would have liked a bit more width of muzzle, won her place over 3 on her better coat condition, sound mover who was well handled.”
Nuneaton Open Show January 2013 (AVNSC Working Graduate) – Richard Kinsey
“Have judged this girl before and given her the puppy group but today she was not on her top form and didn’t cope well with the flooring. Excels in framework and body toning but left her jacket at home today, which only served to emphasise her construction. Good head to handle with just enough stop and width of muzzle. Powerful forehand with strong bone and compact feet. Balanced hindquarters, well let down in hocks. When she did settle she showed off her construction well. Handled well to get the best from her today and I know she can move better than she showed here. R B AVNSCW.”
North Lincs Open Show 2014 (AVNSC Working Open) – Merv Casling
“Malamute, this lady could work all day, from head to toe she was so true to the breed. Head broad & powerful but still feminine, neck strong with slight arch, correct lay of shoulder, well-muscled forelegs, deep chest, topline slightly sloping down to croup, well let down hocks, moved with good drive around the ring. BOB, G3.”
Pollard Open Show 2014 (Alaskan Malamute Open) – Dave Weller
“3 year old bitch, good strength of head, in proportion to size of dog. Almond eye obliquely set, well filled foreface. Arched neck, strong and of good length. Well made front and rear quarters. Well off for bone, in good coat of correct texture. She moved with plenty of strong drive from the rear, very nice type. BOB and G3.”
Wombwell Open Show 2015 (Alaskan Malamute Open) – Mick Taylor
“4 year old bitch, with gorgeous head, eye and expression. Well boned, deep chest, strong loin. Good tailset. Moved ok. A little short on leg for me.”
